This is the most famous tourist destination and the most interesting in this town. Palace is a royal relics of the past that until now still continue to run the government. The Sultan's Palace is flanked by two squares in the north and south. In each square there are two large banyan trees and old age. To be able to go and look into the Palace you have to pay a ticket for Rp.5.000 only and 1000 for shooting permits. Very cheap right!

There are many historic train here who all have high artistic value, there are all kinds of used clothes worn by ndalem servants, army and the royal family, the making of batik, where dance and music performances, and more cultural heritage in it. The building is located right in line with a straight Malioboro street, the building is already visible even from a distance. Another uniqueness of this building is because it is a straight line up with the South Sea, Tugu Yogyakarta, and Mount Merapi
